Bekkersdal Police made a major breakthrough in connection with recent hijackings in the N12 area when four suspects with ages ranging from 29 and 38 were arrested.
Sergeant Linkie Lefakane, Bekkersdal Police spokesperson confirmed that detective Sergeant Motlalepule Mkhize, the investigating officer received a call from one the victims of a hijacking case he was investigating, informing him that he had seen one of the suspects near the Waterworks intersection on Thursday, 15 March.

“Mkhize followed up on the information and the suspect was arrested. He then led police to the other accomplices.”
She added all four suspects made a brief court appearance on Monday, 19 March.
Colonel Nkhwashu, the Bekkersdal Police station commander appreciates the efforts of the Trio Task team and commended them for a job well done.
