One killed in bus-bakkie crash
JUST IN: Bakkie and bus collided, killing one, and injuring another in Westonaria earlier today.
A collision between a bakkie and a bus on Kloof Road in Westonaria on Friday morning, 9 March, has left one man dead and another injured.
The deceased, who was in a Nissan bakkie, was declared dead on the scene by emergency services. He is believed to have been between 30 and 40 years of age. The bus driver was treated for his injuries at the scene and later transported to a nearby hospital for further medical attention.
Annine Siddall ER24 spokesperson says, “The exact circumstances surrounding the incident were not yet known to our paramedics, but local authorities were on scene for further investigations.”
