The life of a 39-year-old woman was ended when her 40-year-old boyfriend allegedly stabbed her with a knife last Thursday evening (8 February).
Captain Appel Ernst, Randfontein Police spokesperson said the woman was found brutally murdered at the Randfontein Dumping Site. An alleged domestic dispute between the victim and her boyfriend led to physical violence.

“The woman was stabbed with a knife and she died on the scene. Her 40-year-old boyfriend was arrested shortly after the Randfontein Police responded to the report of the murder,” she said.
Brigadier Mashole Jacob Manamela, the Randfontein Police station commander condemned the act of violence.
“We are appalled by the fact that another female victim died at the hands of her life partner. Domestic violence is a crime that happens behind closed doors and if the victims don’t speak out, it is impossible to prevent it,” said Brigadier Manamela.
“Victims of domestic violence are again urged to report such incidents and to refrain from withdrawing cases of this nature,” Manamela added.
