Five arrested for drugs in W’aria CBD

Five arrested with drugs and dagga during police operation in Westonaria.

Five suspects aged between 19 and 34 were arrested in the Westonaria CBD recently after they were found in possession of dagga and substances believed to be drugs.

Warrant Officer Raymond Sebonyane, Westonaria Police spokesperson said, “At about 12 noon on Monday, 5 February, the Westonaria Intervention Task Team led by Constable Joseph Mlandini were conducting a routine stop-and-search operation in the Westonaria CBD.

“Five men aged 19, 23, 25, 29 and 34 were arrested for being in possession of substances suspected to be drugs and the possession of dagga. All suspects were detained at the Westonaria Police Station.”

They are expected to appear in the Westonaria Magistrates’ Court soon.
