A manhunt is under way for a detainee awaiting trial who escaped from lawful custody in Randfontein last Friday.
Melusi Nysibanyoni, who was born on 17 January 1986, allegedly used to live in Tshepisong on the West Rand.
According to Captain Appel Ernst, Randfontein Police spokesperson, “The escapee was in transit between the Randfontein Magistrates’ Court en route to the Krugersdorp Prison when he broke out of the vehicle he was travelling in.

The West Rand Trio Task Team urgently awaits information on the whereabouts of this man.”
