Police name man in big fraud case

Name surfaces in big fraud investigation in the Randfontein area – police need assistance.

The Randfontein Police are urgently requesting the residents of Randfontein to assist them in linking a suspect to fraudulent transactions in the area.

“The investigating officer, Warrant Officer Karlien Coombie, indicated that numerous cases are being investigated against one Shaun Pike, who allegedly defrauded people in the Randfontein area,” said Captain Appel Ernst, Randfontein Police spokesperson.

The suspect allegedly operated in the Randfontein area. The case in which the suspect was charged has already been placed on the court roll.

She urges other victims of Pike to urgently contact her on 011 278 8100/ 8110 or see her in Room 12 at the Randfontein detective division.

“Please do not open new cases; we only need to take additional statements from victims,” Coombie said.

The Herald has been approached by a family and received a phone call regarding Pike’s alleged fraudulent transactions.
