Power of Purple event from 12 noon!

This will be the fifth Cansa Relay for Life event held in Randfontein.

On Saturday, 27 January at 12 noon, the much-awaited Power of Purple event will start at Hoërskool Riebeeckrand, and will end at 12 midnight.

The Cansa Relay for Life, originally scheduled for Saturday 25 November 2017, was postponed due to the much-needed rain that came down in torrents.

This will be the fifth Cansa Relay for Life event held in Randfontein, by the community for the community, said the community mobiliser for Cansa, Thea Wille. The main purpose of hosting the event is to celebrate, remember and fight back against the terrible disease – cancer. The most important people at the event are the survivors.

There will be live entertainment by the likes of Tanya V, Franna, Monique West, and many more. There will be lots of fun for the children, including jumping castles and face painting. The adults can also prepare themselves for a great time. There will be fun-filled overnight team experiences to raise funds for education, care and support services.

Why should you participate?

• Everyone’s reason is unique

• Everyone is affected by cancer somehow

• The event brings people in the community together

With every step you take, you are helping Cansa in the fight against cancer.
