Leon Niemand, General Manager of Wilmar SA (Pty) Ltd has kept the promise he made last November to fix the roads, specifically Homestead Avenue, after many complaints were lodged over a long period of time.
Roadworks are currently under way in Homestead Avenue and according to Niemand, the work will be finished in seven weeks. Fewer trucks now obstruct traffic on the road as proper allocated parking has been made available for them.
The Democratic Alliance (DA) councillors for Wards 6 and 9, Ellik de Lange and Peter Dick, are very pleased with the effort and the process that has been committed to.

The work will take place in three phases – Phase 1 entails working on the first entrance to Randfontein, Phase 2 will take place near the first stop street near Wilmar, while Phase 3 consists of repairs to the bridge.
The DA would like to thank Niemand for following through on his promise.
