Something ‘big’ coming to this year’s Show

Randfontein Show organisers said a “big surprise is to come”, but the community will only get the details on 27 January.

Randfontein Show organisers said there will be “something big” at this year’s event, but the surprise will only be revealed on Saturday, 27 January.

According to Joy Hamman of the Randfontein Publicity Association (RPA), show entrance tickets will be on sale at “ridiculously discounted rates” at Tambotie Mall for six hours only from 9am and 3pm that day but, that is not the only reason one should visit the mall on that day.

“Something new and special will also be happening at the mall at 11am and again at 1pm, but I don’t want to let the cat out of the bag yet, so one will have to be at the mall to see what it is,” said Marcelle Mans, Show Coordinator.

She added, “Tambotie Mall is sponsoring the brand-new #Leave it on the Floor Hip Hop Dance Competition at the Show on Friday, 2 March so we thought the mall would be the perfect location to launch the Show programme and sell entrance tickets at greatly reduced prices. There will be so many new events and exhibitors at this year’s Show and we want to make it easier for Randfonteiners to visit it more than once.”

Adults’ tickets will be on sale for only R60, children’s tickets (ages 6–12) and senior citizens (ages 65+) for only R25 each – but only for six hours from 9am to 3pm. Tickets can be used on any day. Be on the lookout for the Show girls wearing yellow-and-black T-shirts at the Mugg & Bean and Checkers entrances where tickets and programmes will be available.
