A woman stabbed and killed her lover’s ex following an argument, Bekkersdal Police said.
The incident took place at about 8.30pm one Friday night shortly before Christmas.

According to Sergeant Linkie Lefakane, Bekkersdal Police spokesperson, “It is alleged that a woman went to her ex-boyfriend’s place of residence that night to demand money for her child’s Christmas clothes. The boyfriend was not found and it is alleged that an argument broke out between the current girlfriend and the ex.
“The current girlfriend took a bread knife and stabbed the other woman in her chest once. She died on the scene.”
The matter was reported to the police and the girlfriend was arrested for murder. She already appeared in the Westonaria Magistrates’ Court.
