Matric results this Friday

Gauteng Department of Education urges learners to collect their statement of results from their schools/ examination centres this Friday, 5 January!

Panyaza Lesufi, the Gauteng MEC for Education will release the Gauteng matric results for the 2017 academic year on Friday, 5 January.

This follows the release of the national matric results by the Minister of Basic Education, Angie Motshekga on Thursday, 4 January.

Among others, Lesufi will award learners that have demonstrated high levels of academic excellence in various categories such as subject performance, top performing township school learners, top learner in the Secondary Schools Improvement Programme (SSIP), as well as most improved and top performing schools.

The department urges learners to collect their statement of results from their schools or examination centres on 5 January.

The Herald will be out and about on the day visiting local schools to capture the celebrations.
