How to lean in for the perfect New Year’s kiss

Move her to a separate location. This sounds creepy, but there’s method in this madness.

It’s New Years’ and the perfect opportunity to lean in for that first kiss is presented to you, but before you ruin it here’s some tips on how to do it flawlessly. Here’s some advice from Tripp Advice, a YouTuber who had over half a million views on his video called How to go from talking to kissing.

Make sure the other person knows you want to kiss them by moving closer. Look down at their lips every once in a while. Look out for signs of attraction like is she touching you, is she engaged in the conversation, is she laughing in the middle of the conversation?

Make sure you flirt back. Move closer, touch her arm or her back even for a split second.

Move her to a separate location. This sounds a bit creepy, but there’s method to this madness: Move away from her friends so she doesn’t feel embarrassed kissing you in front of them.

Once you’ve moved to a separate location there’s one of two options: either go in for the kiss immediately but grabbing their hand, pulling them closer and kissing them straight away is a no-no. Be gentle, because they should be comfortable while you do this. Or sit down for a minute (remember to sit close to her) look her in the eyes, create silence for a second by not talking and then, move closer slowly and kiss her.

If you’re on a date with a girl, wait until the end of the date to kiss her. Try not to kiss in the car. Ideally kiss her while standing up after a few hours together. Just because it’s smoother. Create a silence, and only kiss her after the silence.

Girls want to feel comfortable before you kiss them. So try not to take them to dodgy areas, parties or restaurants.

And if you fail, there’s always ways to take rejection and turn it into something positive.

Here’s what to say:

“That’s okay, you’re not ready yet.”

This one liner has been the saving grace for mankind for years. But, be careful, there’s a lot more to it than that.
