#PelserTrial: Shows no emotion while viewing murdered son’s photos

Final arguments to be heard tomorrow.

After lunch, State Prosecutor Paseka Temeki wrapped up his cross-examination of murder accused, Marthinus Pelser (23).

Family and supporters showed their towards the end of Temeki’s questioning, when he showed Pelser not only crime scene photos but also photos of murdered baby Deon.

Pelser showed no emotion when asked about the injuries on the baby’s body. He nonchalantly answered the questions regarding the injuries.

Temeki also brought up the Facebook post that was posted the night before the murder, 10 June 2016, on Pelser’s page. It depicts a Grim Reaper with a scythe and a skull with the words “Never push a man to violence who has been waiting for an excuse to use it”. “You put that up as a warning for the whole world to see that you have been pushed and the next day Deon was dead,” Temeki sternly told him.

Final arguments will be heard tomorrow and judgment will be handed down on 8 January, said Magistrate Delize Smith.
