Annatjie Preschool Academy held a cracker of a Fairy Tale modelling and 21st year graduation celebration at Hoërskool Jan Viljoen, West Porges on Saturday, 2 December.
According to Annatjie Schoombie, the principal, “Every year, no less than 100 children graduate from our preschool. My mother, Annatjie Lategan, started this school, which she and I are both proud of, 21 years ago. The event was very successful and everybody enjoyed it to the fullest.”
The event was packed with surprises, including the performance of a song, and present models and beauty queens as well as Mr Riebeeckrand strutting their stuff down the ramp. The theme ‘Fairy Tale’ was carried through the entire event. After the pageant, the Grade R graduation, which was an emotional time for Annatjie, the parents and the little ones, took place. They will now move on to a new time in their lives.
One of the judges, who is also a Miss Elite South Africa finalist, said they were very impressed with the beautiful outfits the children wore.
The winners are as follows:
• Mr Annatjie Academy 6 years ( Grade R): Tshiamo Maseko. First prince shared by Kabelo Lee and Phindulo Matsa, and second prince shared by Kaone Moletsane and Mpho Mogotsi.
• Miss Annatjie Academy 6 years (Grade R): Danushka Delport. First princess, Lethabo Motsena, and second princess, Lesedi Sikolwe.
• Mr Annatjie Academy 5 years (Grade RR): Hlompho Mokhitli. First prince, Gavin Mataruse and second prince, Bonolo Mosome.
• Miss Annatjie Academy 5 years (Grade RR): Sarah Khoza. First princess, Tethabile Ntwaele and second princess, Tshenolo Hlatsoane.
• Mr Annatjie Academy 4 years: Bokasmosa Zama. First prince, Samuel Orebo and second prince, Amogelang Matthinkinca.
• Miss Annatjie Academy 4 years: Olerato Chabatsane. First princess, Kaleb Papier and second princess, Ofentse Rakobbane.
• Mr Annatjie Academy 0–3 years: Oreabetse Molouzi. First prince, Otshepeng Magano and second prince, Hlalumi Gxwati.
Miss Annatjie Academy 0–3 years: Sibahle Mbatha. First princess Kamogelo Segone and second princess, Dakalo Murema.
After that, a Granny Pageant was also held, where Granny Belemina Motshaba took the crown. The graduation part of the event was conducted by the Grade R teachers, Maggie Seerie and Mavis Ndaba.
