Two men narrowly escaped death after the vehicle they were travelling in rolled on the R501 in Carletonville during the afternoon of Thursday, 30 November.
According to Werner Vermaak, ER24 spokesperson, the vehicle carrying the two men rolled several times, but they “miraculously escaped with moderate injuries”. The accident took place at about 3.30pm.
He added, “When ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene, they found the severely damaged vehicle on the side of the road. One of the occupants was still inside the vehicle while the other was found walking around on scene.
Witnesses stated that the driver was ejected during the accident.”
Paramedics from ER24 and the local EMS treated the two men before they were transported to Carletonville Hospital for further care.
