Foreign business owner's mysterious murder under investigation, Crime Stop

Bekkersdal Police are investigating a case of murder and attempted murder after a foreign business owner was allegedly shot and killed and a security guard wounded over the weekend.

Sergeant Linkie Lefakane, Bekkersdal Police spokesperson said, “It is alleged by a neighbour that when he heard the sound of gunshots, he went to investigate and found two victims lying in a pool of blood.”

The neighbour contacted emergency services and the victims were both taken to the hospital.

The business owner later died of his injuries.

The suspects are still at large and the motive for the attack is still unknown to the police. The Bekkersdal Police have now launched a manhunt for the suspect(s).

“We are appealing to the community to assist with any information that could lead to the arrest of the perpetrators and urge them not to try and apprehend the suspects as they are deemed to be armed and dangerous,” said Lefakane.
