Man hands himself over to police after murder

A man who shot and killed one person and injured another two hands himself over to police.

A 30-year-old man allegedly handed himself over to police after shooting and killing one person and wounding another two. The survivors are recovering in a local hospital.

Police in Carletonville are investigating one case of murder and two cases of attempted murder.

“Members of the community are being urged to work hand in hand with the police by reporting crime,” said Warrant Officer Matome Masedi, Carletonville Police spokesperson.

Several festive-season operations are continuing and their goals can be reached only if community members work with law-enforcement agencies.
