Rashida Abrahams from Westview Clinic, a Kemajo coach, youth activist, chairperson for the Randfontein Youth Crime Prevention and part of the Justice for Candice group, said, “Justice was not served. Justice failed us. Five women have been murdered in Toekomsrus. The killing of women is not taken seriously.”

After Fritz was found murdered in her car, the Randfontein Police arrested Leslie on the morning of 14 November and he was charged with her murder.

During the suspect’s first court appearance, Magistrate Elbie Botha confirmed that the charge against the suspect was one of murder and that Fritz had been brutally and repeatedly stabbed.
