Big dagga bust in Bekkersdal

Four men held in big dagga bust in the Bekkersdal area.

Bekkersdal Police recently arrested four men, aged between 33 and 42, for the possession of dagga.

According to Sergeant Linkie Lefakane, Bekkersdal Police spokesperson, the arrest was made following an operation by the Bekkersdal Crime Prevention Unit led by Captain Nokuthula Sebonyane between 3am and 11am on Saturday, 11 November.

“The officers were conducting an operation in which they stopped and searched everyone they came across, when they made the arrest.

The men will be charged for being in possession of dagga and are expected to appear in the Westonaria Magistrates’ Court soon.”

Colonel Abraham Nkhwashu, Bekkersdal Police station commander, commended the members for their efforts.
