Free education now in town

Campus Manager: We believe the South African youth have the right to quality affordable education.

Randfontein has a new college, iCollege, which will provide free education to the community. Its doors are now open and students can register for 2018.

Who can register?
• South African residents
• Between the age of 18 and 28
• Unemployed persons

According to Pierre Eksteen, campus manager, “iCollege Randfontein opened its doors on Wednesday, 1 November 2017. Registrations for January 2018 are now open, and we advise all qualifying youths to register before January to secure their free education – seats are limited. We only require a certified copy of the applicant’s ID and latest results. Payment of the registration fee can be arranged.”

Pierre says iCollege has been in existence since 1997 and was previously known as Stanford Computer and Business College.

“We currently have more than 20 000 active students in 16 campuses across eight provinces. We intend to open three more campuses by December, to keep up with the demand for free education.

We are provisionally registered with the Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET).

“We believe the South African youth has the right to quality affordable education. We embrace working with Government, DHET and other organisations to ensure this opportunity is presented to the youth of South Africa. The iCollege motto is based on the belief that we all have a responsibility to invest in our youth and give them the opportunity to secure better futures for themselves and their families, thus contributing to a greater South Africa.”

The only requirement is to pay the R600 registration fee and attend the 12-month course consisting of three compulsory classes per week.
