• 4 to 5 November: John Legend in SA at the Ticketpro Dome in Johannesburg
Grammy Award-winning singer/songwriter John Legend is heading to South Africa as part of his Darkness and Light world tour. Catch the muso singing his number-one hits and a few new ones from his latest album.

• 4 November: Boeremusiekfees by die Diamant 4 Landgoed in Muldersdrift

• 4 November: Light and Joy Holistic Fayre in Mellville
The Light and Joy Holistic Fayre is a Gauteng-based monthly festival that celebrates well-being and friendship, spiritual education, sharing, networking and a little bit of fun. This is a safe haven where people can get together, browse through interesting and unique stalls, relax, revitalise and grow, spend time on themselves along with their loved ones, invest in their own interests, and rub shoulders with like-minded folk who share their desire for understanding, meaning and purpose in life.

• 4 November: Irene Village Market in Pretoria
Spend a relaxing Saturday morning at The Irene Village Market at the Big Red Barn. This arts and crafts market offers visitors a little bit of everything and anything, from crafts, artisanal foods and furniture to craft beer, wine and handmade art. Other than chilling out at this well-known spot and getting some fresh air, there’s also a line-up of excellent family entertainment perfect for all ages.

• 4 November: Yoga at The Station in Johannesburg
Grab your yoga mat, head to Newtown and celebrate the return of summer in one of the most stunning locations Joburg has to offer – The Station. Enjoy amazing views over the city while moving through a playful and active yoga sequence perfect for all levels of yogis and some calming stretches and relaxation at the end. There will be a DJ to play the perfect soundtrack during the yoga practice.

• 5 November: Gauteng Model Boat Club at Emmarentia Dam in Johannesburg
The Gauteng Model Boat Club,established in the mid 60s and undergoing a revival, will display their boats and boating skills to the public and to each other at Emmarentia Dam. There will be about 30 models and 40 members on display. Some of the boats on display will be scale versions of Richard Branson’s Atlantic Challenger, the Seawolf US submarine, the Type 212 German submarine, the Zwarte Zee Tug, and any number of corvettes, destroyers, battleships, landing craft, tug boats, coastguard ships, steamboats, fishing trawlers and passenger liners. The ships range from hand-sized rowboats to 1,5m/ 20kg behemoths. Events include tug-towing competitions, extinguishing real-life fires, boat races and sailing regattas. The public will be able to view all the models on display and see them in action on the water.

• 5 November: Car boot sale at the Stables Village Market in Johannesburg
