Clover shows RCA how milk is produced

Clover shows Randfontein school RCA the process of milk and cold drink production.

Randfontein Christian Academy (RCA) recently had the opportunity to visit the Clover factory in Midrand.

The children were ecstatic to see what goes into producing milk and other dairy products.

Clover’s world class visitor centre in Midrand offers an exciting and fun learning experience where children, students and adults get to see the story of dairy and Clover brought to life.

RCA learners got to look into the people, places and animals behind one of the most iconic dairy brands. On arrival at the factory, the children were entertained with an informative video about the production of milk and cold drinks in the media centre.

Then the children were divided into two groups that each went on an in-depth tour through the factory where the process of milk production was explained. They went behind the scenes where they saw how the bottling factory works.

“The children enjoyed it a lot. We want to thank Professor Elaine Vlok and the whole Clover group for the experience. The children could not stop talking about the day,” said Clarisse Venter, RCA spokesperson.

After the tour the children were able to sample all the products the factory produced. Then they all got treated to lunch at McDonald’s, and continued with their daily programme.

Clarisse told the Herald the visit was not only educational but an eye-opener. She added the school strives to educate children on all levels and about a wide variety of things in life.
