Rand View College proudly hosted their annual awards ceremony for its learners who achieved more than 70 per cent in a subject on Monday, 23 October.
When the Herald arrived, the learners were in good spirits. Certificates was handed out to learners from Grade 1 to Grade 12. Reamogetse Mangope, from Grade 10, and her group also sang beautiful songs.
Some of the learners received as many as three or four certificates. Every time the winner was announced, the learners clapped hands and congratulated their fellow learners.
“2017 has been a long year for Rand View College, but now the time has come for studying hard,” said Paul Mwondha, the principal, a day ahead of the first Grade 12 final exam.
“We wish our matric students for 2017 all the best in their final exams. On behalf of Rand View College’s directors and staff, I would like to thank you for the effort you have put in at the college and we pray the almighty God that we shall achieve a 100 per cent pass rate when the results are released next year,” he added.
“Lastly I would like to thank the entire team at the Gauteng West Department of Education, particularly the Acting District Director, Oupa Koapeng; the CES: CMD Thea Coetser, and the DCES: FET/AET David Maanwane and the various subject advisors who have supported Rand View College. We trust that God will reward you abundantly.
“Rand View College will always focus on its mission of securing the future of young South Africans and turning them into an internationally recognised labour force.”
