Sergeant Linkie Lefakane, Bekkersdal Police spokesperson said, “It is alleged the victim, 35, parked his vehicle next to a house on Rampou Street. He was walking back to the vehicle when he was accosted by two men with firearms. He heard gun shots and the suspects ordered a woman who was already in the car to get out.
“The suspects demanded their cellular phones and later took off with the vehicle. The vehicle is not fitted with a tracking device. The suspects are still on the run. We are therefore appealing to the community not to try and apprehend the suspects as they are deemed to be armed and dangerous.”
Anyone who might have information that could lead to the arrest of these perpetrators may contact the Bekkersdal Police on 011 755 0000/5/6, alternatively contact Crime Stop on 0860010111.
