Three people believed to be trespassing on mine property were attacked, allegedly by illegal miners. One of them was killed
Randfontein Police are investigating a case of murder and attempted murder.

Captain Appel Ernst, Randfontein Police spokesperson confirmed, “At about 11.20am on Tuesday (26 September), a man was killed and two others sustained bullet wounds after they were allegedly attacked by illegal miners on mine property near a Cooke plant outside Randfontein. The deceased is an unknown man. The other two victims, aged 29 and 18, were transported to a local hospital,” Ernst said.
