Man stabbed and robbed, police take all three suspects down

Randfontein Police acted swiftly and managed to arrest three suspects shortly after they robbed and stabbed someone yesterday.

All three suspects were arrested shortly after they robbing and stabbing a victim in Kent Masire Street in Mohlakeng yesterday (Wednesday, 27 September).

The Randfontein Trio Reaction team made the arrests.

Captain Appel Ernst, Randfontein Police spokesperson, said after the stabbing, “A concerned resident called the police who were in the area. They immediately responded and the speeding get-away vehicle – a silver Corsa – was eventually cornered on the R28.

“The three suspects, aged 30, 32 and 34, were found in possession of some of the stolen goods. The Trio Reaction members, Sergeant Gontse Letlonkane and Constable Mokatsanyane, are applauded for this arrest.

“Well done to our colleagues. Linkages with other robberies in the Randfontein area are currently being explored,” said Brigadier Jacob Manamela, the Randfontein station commander.
