Warning: Be on the lookout for stolen vehicle

Police have launched a manhunt for suspect(s) after they stole a vehicle in Johnson Street recently.

Bekkersdal Police have issued a BOLO warning (be on the lookout) for a vehicle that was allegedly stolen recently.

At about 9.10pm on Friday, 8 September, a man allegedly went to visit a friend and parked a vehicle, belonging to his father, in Johnson Street. When he returned to the spot, he discovered that the vehicle was missing.

“The vehicle was properly closed and locked, but when he returned to where he had parked it in the early hours, it was gone,” explained Sergeant Linkie Lefakane, Bekkersdal Police spokesperson.

The matter was reported to the police and a case of theft of a motor vehicle was opened. The Bekkersdal Police have launched a manhunt for the perpetrators who stole the Blue Mitsubishi Pajero. The suspects are still unknown. The police are urging the community to assist with the information that could lead to the arrest or solving of this particular crime.
