Laerskool Avante Primary School is proud to announce that eight of their learners were named the winner of the Maths Olympiad 2017 in their respective grades.
The event was held in die Avante School Hall in Kocksoord on Friday, 25 August.
Wilna Bothma and Evert van Zyl, coordinators of the Maths Olympiad 2017, said all the learners have a bright future ahead of them. The learners also showed off the mathematical aids they are taught to use to excel in maths.
The winner of each grade is:
• Grade 1: Mthethwa Khanyisa
• Grade 2: Gumpo Kealeboga
• Grade 3: Kgama Nyakallo
• Grade 4: Onthatile Mahupela
• Grade 5: Nhlanhla Mabona
• Grade 6: Orefile Mpadisang
• Grade 7: Neo Makelani and Inhle Gumpo jointly
