A 13-year-old girl died while another minor had to be transported to hospital after being hit by a vehicle in Mohlakeng.
Captain Appel Ernst, Randfontein Police spokesperson said police were called to a scene on Segaetso Street in the area on 19 August. They found the alleged driver of the vehicle that had hit two minors lying on the ground with facial injuries. They also found the victims that had been run over.

The injured driver and one victim were then transported to a local hospital for treatment but unfortunately, a 13-year-old succumbed to her injuries on the scene of the collision.
Ernst added, “We are concerned about the number of motor-vehicle related incidents being reported”.
