A 27-year-old man has been sentenced to three years for the robbery and attempted rape of a 43-year-old woman.
According to the investigating officer, Warrant Officer Morgan Tenyane, the accused attacked the victim and robbed her of her personal belongings before attempting to rape her. He was apprehended shortly after the incident.

Major General Anna Mateisi, the West Rand Cluster commander, applauded the investigating officer for his commitment to ensuring justice for the victim.
