Off to Kyalami for U3A Westrand
Are you a retiree? Join U3A West Rand now and have some great fun!
The West Rand U3A will go on an outing to Kyalami on Sunday, 13 August, to see the Lipizzaner Show.
After this awesome show, there will be an opportunity to interact with the horses in their stables by feeding carrots to them. From there, U3A members will go to Midrand to the Ottoman Palace Restaurant for lunch.
“We will have the opportunity to enjoy the flavours of Turkey in their authentic Turkish food. After the lunch we will go on a tour through the Nizamiya Turkish Masjid (Mosque).” says Marthie Coetzer, from U3A West Rand.
The mosque is a smaller scale model of a mosque in Turkey and a magnificent building.
