Another day, another bike accident in Greenhills

Two people were apparently hurt after yet another crash between a bike and vehicle in Greenhills.

Another bike accident occurred on Lazaar Avenue near Tambotie Mall yesterday (Thursday, 20 July).

Fortunately, the injuries sustained by the motorbike rider and the occupant of the vehicle are not believed to be severe.

According to a reliable source on scene, a vehicle came from the direction of Greenhills on Homestead Avenue and allegedly turned right into the mall. The motorcycle rider came down from Lazaar Road heading to Homestead Avenue.

At the robot, the traffic light allegedly was orange when the motorbike rider decided to continue. He then bumped into the left back door of the vehicle.

The State Emergency Services ambulance was on scene first, shortly followed by ER24.

An official statement from ER24 is still awaited. This is the second motorbike accident to occur close to the mall this month – the other one occurred in Greenhills Avenue.
