U3A West Rand will host their monthly meeting on Tuesday, 11 July, at the Wilgespruit NG Church on the corner of Mimosa and Wag-‘n-Bietjie Streets in Wilro Park at 9.15am.
Marthie Coetzer from U3A Westrand says, “Come and enjoy a cup of tea or coffee before we go in for a talk about the interesting topic of bee-keeping in SA, given by Tom Caine.”
Pensioners from Randfontein and surrounding areas are welcome to join the U3A for only R50 per annum to hear monthly talks on interesting subjects. They also do lunches and outings every alternative month. Come and meet new people and join in the fun.
There are various interest groups, including one for knitters, another for walkers, one for bowls players, a book club, and a men’s club to join.
On Monday, 19 July, the group will meet for a delicious lunch out in the country at Cradle Valley Guesthouse, in Kromdraai, on the R374. There will be an interesting menu with dessert and coffee for R100 per person. Come and enjoy this lunch out in the country.
