429 houses now have power!

On Thursday, 22 June, the Executive Mayor of Rand West City, councillor Mzi Khumalo officially switched on the electricity in Mohlakeng Extension 11.

Khumalo went to a resident’s house in the area and showed her that she has electricity. A total of 429 houses in the area are now connected to the electricity grid.

“The expression of happiness on the faces of the community reflected the appreciation of the service. We are honoured to carry a responsibility of this nature,” said Tshidiso Thlaripe, spokesperson for the Executive Mayor.
