Greenhills couple robbed by four armed men

Couple robbed by four armed men, locked in their bedroom in their Greenhills home late last night.

A Greenhills couple was robbed by four armed men in their home late on the night of Wednesday, 28 June.

Captain Appel Ernst, Randfontein Police’s spokesperson confirmed that at about 11.30pm, a 49-year-old man and his wife became the victims of a house robbery.

“The victims were at home when four armed suspects entered the house. They were allegedly ordered to cooperate with the burglars, and were kept in a bedroom.

The suspects removed numerous items including televisions and jewellery. They left the scene in an unknown vehicle. No shots were fired and no injuries were sustained.”

The Herald spoke to the man on Thursday morning. He briefly mentioned that he is having windows replaced and sorting out all the necessary insurance policies.
