Extra classes for matrics this July holiday

Got nothing to do these July school holidays? Dept of Education invites the matrics of 2017 to attend extra classes. Details here ...

The Department of Education is inviting the matric class of 2017 from Randfontein, Westonaria and Carletonville to attend the extra classes they will be offering during the coming July school holidays.

The Secondary Schools Intervention Programme (SSIP) is a provincial programme that takes place on Saturdays and during holidays to reinforce the curriculum and support learners, helping them to achieve better results during their matric year.

SSIP does not cover the syllabus – instead, they revise what has been taught by the subject educators. The programme strives to present learners with an opportunity to engage with different educators and learners. Materials are provided to learners and tutors.

Subjects that will be presented:

• Maths

• Accounting

• Economics

• Geography

• Life Science

• Physical Sciences

• Mathematics literature

• Business Studies

• History

Students who would like to attend the programme can attend at the following sites:

• Kgothalang Secondary school

• T M Lethake Secondary school

• Phahama Secondary school

• Randfontein Secondary School

• AB Phokompe Secondary school

The programme will run from 3 to 7 July and classes will be from 8 am till 2pm. Students who want to attend the programme do not have to confirm their attendance.
