Suspected burglars caught after house-breaking

Two suspected burglars were caught in a field with stolen goods after allegedly breaking into a house in Greenhills.

Two suspected burglars were arrested yesterday (Tuesday, 13 June) by EPR while breaking into a house in Greenhills.

According to information received, EPR Security received an alarm signal from a client situated in Nerine Crescent and decided to take action.

Reaction Officer Bothma was dispatched to the premises and saw two suspects running away as he arrived.

He also saw that a window had been broken. He then gave chase, called for backup and gave a detailed description of the two suspects over the two-way radio.

A colleague, Reaction Officer van Niekerk, spotted the suspects in a nearby field and managed to arrest both of them.

The team then handed the suspects over to the police for further investigation. They also managed to recover several stolen items.
