R’fontein Police among the best in the west

The Randfontein Police are among the top-performing stations on the West Rand.

The West Rand’s men and women in blue were recently awarded by the West Rand Cluster’s big gun for their hard work.

Major General Anna Mateisi presented certificates to stations in the West Rand Cluster.

According to Captain Appel Ernst, the certificates were awarded according to the achievements reached during the last quarter and the entire 2016/ 2017 financial year.

The star stations in the cluster were Carletonville, Fochville, Khutsong, Kagiso, Krugersdorp, Randfontein, Tarlton and Westonaria.

Khutsong Police station commander, Colonel Melinda Prinsloo received praise for her station being the best overall. “Khutsong performed the best in the entire Gauteng province,” Ernst said.

Mateisi explained that the stations mentioned perform well, despite the challenges they face on a day-to-day basis.

“Keep up the standard. You inspire others to reach the same. Thank you for your efforts in ensuring good service to our communities,” Maiteisi said.
