Boutique in CBD robbed at gunpoint

JUST IN: Boutique staff held at gunpoint by armed robbers in the CBD over the weekend.

Randfontein Police are looking for four men who they say robbed a boutique situated in Main Reef Road at gunpoint last Friday morning.

Captain Appel Ernst, Randfontein Police spokesperson confirmed the incident took place at about 9.10am on Friday, 12 May.

“It is alleged two women, both 26 years of age, were inside the shop when four men entered the shop. One of the men was armed,” Ernst said.

She added the women were forced to the floor and the suspects took numerous items of clothing. They also took one of the the victims’ cellphones before they fled on foot.
