Tremors that were felt in the area recently did more than shake up residents. A suspected groundwater pocket in Greenhills was disturbed and is now seeping and wreaking havoc.
The suspected pocket is located on Kameel Street. It is possible that it lies beneath a home and might cause devastating damage if action is not taken.

According to Peter Dick, DA Ward 9 councillor, the problem started in March, but was exacerbated by the recent tremors. He said the owner has been struggling with flooding in the home’s basement and also with water constantly seeping through the lawn, which has since affected the area outside the perimeter wall as well.
