Get those slippers out for a worthy cause

Rock your slippers and help the Reach for a Dream Children.

Why wear uncomfortable shoes to work when you can wear your slippers all day for only R10 ….

Reach for a Dream is one of South Africa’s most loved charities. The organisation makes dreams come true for children suffering from serious, often terminal, illnesses. This initiative has a special place in South African hearts because it gives children the gift of fun and adventure – joyful parts of life they are often denied due to their illness.

Hundreds of South African children have been able to enjoy the simple things many of us take for granted, like birthday parties, thanks to the Reach for a Dream project. They are also often given the chance to explore the extraordinary, by going sky-diving or meeting their life-long heroes.

Reach for a Dream will be changing things up a bit this year, with funky Slipper Day wristbands. R10 buys a Reach for a Dream wristband, which can be redeemed for a Wimpy coffee on 12 May at any of the over 490 Wimpy restaurants nationwide, and the right to rock your slippers all day long in public.

Reach for a Dream wristbands can be purchased online here or at any Pick n Pay or Wimpy.

So – what are you waiting for? Reach for a Dream needs your support, and Slipper Day wristbands are already on sale. For just R10 you can make a difference in a child’s life.
