A 43-year-old Dwarskloof woman was raped last month by two men aged 34 and 33, according to a statement released by the Randfontein Police.
They apprehended the suspects shortly after the rape, which took place one Thursday evening last month.

According to Captain Appel Ernst, Randfontein Police’s spokesperson, the woman was visiting a friend and on her way home she was overpowered by the two men. The men then dragged her to a nearby remote area where the first rape took place.
“[O]ne of the suspects raped her while the other held her down. They then took her to another spot where the second suspect raped her while the first held her down,” Ernst said.
The case was later reported to the Randfontein Police and shortly after the two suspects were arrested.
Warrant Officer Rakhudu, from the Krugersdorp Family Violence, Child Abuse and Sexual Offences Unit (FCS) is currently investigating the matter.
“Their first appearance in the Randfontein Magistrates’ Court was on Monday, 18 April,” Ernst said.
