Godfrey Mphatswe, Mr South Africa 2016 finalist and the current face of Bogart Man, spent his birthday with the disabled children of the Rainbow Daycare Centre.

On Tuesday, 18 April, his 33rd birthday, he visited the centre to share the joy with them.

This is not the first time Godfrey has given back to the centre. During his last visit, he built a bookshelf and donated books to the centre. This time he treated them to entertainment, food, and the revamp of a room.

After being selected as the face of Bogart Man, he was given a cash prize of R5 000 and a number of other gifts. He used the cash to buy paint and goodies for his favourite charity.

Godfrey organised entertainment through the Karisma Non-governmental Organisation (NGO), which performed for and taught Rainbow Daycare learners how to dance.

The centre’s learners have grown so fond of Godfrey that they put their heads together to make him a special birthday card which had every one of their names on it.

Tatum Solomons from the centre said they are grateful for the painting Godfrey has done for them. She explained that paint has been on their wish list for a number of years now and it came just in time.

“It’s very important to give back, especially on a day like this. I will always be here for Rainbow Daycare,” Godfrey said.
