CPF Sector 5.6, police work hand in hand

Plans are being made to make Loumarina and Wheatlands safer.

The Community Policing Forum (CPF) Sector 5.6 mean business and recently took hands with the police to hone their community policing skills.

The Sector 5.6 CPF consists of plot areas which include Loumarina and Wheatlands and they are fed up with crime and want to show their community they mean business when it comes to crime.

Members of the sector gathered at the Sector 5.6 chairperson, Henry Boyce’s home for training from the Randfontein Police.

The training included what to do when at a crime scene or emergency, how to preserve the scene and how to cope with trauma.

The CPF Randfontein chairperson, Zaheer Gangat who gave members a run down of the CPF code of conduct and what the CPF has been mandated to do regarding crime.

Boyce raised his concerns regarding police reaction times and who to call in an emergency situation.

The Sector 5.6 CPF now has a lease on life regarding crime in the area and plan to give their community the best they can give to keep their community safe.
