Two hip-hop dance crews from Snap Back Studios in Greenhills took first and third place respectively during the National Championships held in the Mother City, Cape Town, early in March.
Crew Cream won bronze and Crew Chivalry took the gold medal.
This achievement is wonderful news for Snap Back Studios, as they will now be competing in the World Qualifying Circuit event in October in order to qualify for the World Hip Hop (HHI) Championship to be held in Arizona in the USA next year.
“We are so proud of all our crew members and the hard work they have put into their dancing. Congratulations. Heads down and keep focusing on the goal for 2018,” Eileen said.
Snap Back Studios is also very privileged to be hosting a Groove With Us Workshop presented by Triple C on Saturday, 25 March.
There will be:
• One workshop
• Three instructors (Sipho ‘Bn Jammin Didiza, Cleo Notcutt and Bboy the Curse)
• Five different styles. (Popping, Hip-Hop, House, B-Boy and Contemporary)
• Beginner/ Intermediate/ Advanced levels
“All students from dance studios or associations are welcome. The team would love to meet all students, teach them and hand over the skills and knowledge they have learnt over the years from travelling, representing SA and judging. Let’s share the love of dance, and learn,” Eileen said.
