Victim identifies alleged rapist

Police now have an idea of what the man looks like who attacked and raped a 38-year-old woman.

Progress has been made in a case of a 38-year-old woman who was raped in her own home.

The victim managed to assist police in compiling an identikit of her rapist.

The rape was committed at about 10.10pm on 27 November last year when the woman was woken by the attacker.

She alleged the man pulled her around, undressed her and raped her. She said the man did so without a condom. The victim shouted for help and the man fled through her window.

Police are still searching for the suspect and urge the public to contact them should they see or hear from the man.

Information can be reported to the Carletonville Family Violence, Child Abuse and Sexual Offences Unit (FCS) on 011 753 4062.
