Get to know a ‘Teiner #3

The third person in the Herald's Get to know a Randfonteiner 2017 project introduces himself.

Meet this week’s Randfonteiner – Clement Mohlala.

Clement Mohlala is a communications officer at the West Rand District Municipality (WRDM) who loves to watch and play soccer and cricket in his spare time.

Clement is a resident of Mohlakeng who said he has lived in the area for as long as he can remember. “I’m born and bred from Mohlakeng,” he said.

Clement currently works at the West Rand District Municipality (WRDM) as a communication officer. His job includes organising events, photography, writing press kits and releases as well as communicating with the media.

He has worked at the WRDM since 2013, when Mpho Nawa served as executive mayor of the WRDM. He said he started off as a volunteer and was later accepted into the municipal ranks after giving his volunteering all he had.

As far as hobbies go, Clement said he is a soccer and cricket fanatic. He said he enjoys playing and watching the two sports in his free time. When asked how he knows when he is in Randfontein, he said it is only in Randfontein where there are two municipalities located in one town, referring to the Rand West City Local Municipality and the West Rand District Municipality, which are not even 1km away from each other.

Clement wished the town a very happy Valentine’s Day.
