Man wearing Springbok jersey found dead

Young shepherd stumbles upon dead man wearing a Springbok jersey.

A young shepherd discovered a dead body in the Zenzele area at around 5pm on Wednesday, 28 December.

According to Captain Appel Ernst, Randfontein Police spokesperson it is alleged the shepherd, 12, was herding cattle near the Zenzele cemetery when he came across the body of an unknown man.

“The Randfontein Police was summoned and upon investigation it was found the deceased had bruises all over his body. The deceased is estimated to be between 25 and 30 years old. He was partially dressed in a green Springbok jersey.”

Any person who might shed light on this unfortunate incident is requested to contact the investigating officer, Warrant Officer Rupert van Zyl on 082 322 1974.
