According to Annalien, every learner that performed at this event did exceptionally well at various art festivals during the year. These festivals include RACA, NEA, Monument Art Festival and SATCH.

For these festivals, a total of 235 items were entered, and the learners won the astonishing number of 99 awards, prizes, trophies and medals between them.

Reinhardt le Roux was announced as the Overall Winner of the Vocal Section at RACA, and the Monument Art Festival, as well taking the Overall RACA Winner award.

Miguel Leitao, a violin learner, was once again the Overall Winner at the NEA.

Twenty-two individual learners received 95 Diamond, 88 Platinum and 42 Double Gold Certificates between them. The 18-piece violin group received two Platinum and one Diamond Certificate for their group items.

It is truly a remarkable achievement for a small music school in Bhongweni Village to have the overall winners of the two biggest art festivals on the West Rand as their own.
