Urgent reminder to parents of school-age kids
URGENT: Admissions deadline reminder to parents.
The Gauteng Department of Education (GDE) reminds parents of the deadline for late online applications, which is Wednesday, 30 November 2016.
“In an effort to plan and procure school materials such as books, stationery, desks and chairs in accordance with the total number of learners in our system, parents are urged to apply by 30 November if they still wish to secure space for their children at Gauteng Public Schools,” said Oupa Bodibe, GDE acting spokesperson.
He added the department will not be processing any admissions in January, as teaching and learning will commence on the first day of schooling.
